About Us

Collaborating with donors and philanthropists to help you reach your objectives, BeLifted is specifically focused on uplifting women and girls. Our focus is currently North West, with groups and classes regularly being held in Barnet, Brent, Camden.
We focus on the following groups of women; young girls from 7-14 years old, women from the age of 16-70 years old, women and girls at risk of entering the criminal justice system and women and girl offenders and ex-offenders, black and ethnic minority women, domestic violence survivors, single mothers and women living in poverty.

2017 Where It Started

BeLifted began as a limited company delivering paid fitness classes for women and girls

► Focused on improving physical health, confidence and wellbeing through movement

2019–2021 Responding to Crisis

► The pandemic exposed deep financial hardship across our community; many women could not afford basic essentials

► In response, BeLifted transitioned into a CIC in 2021 to better support community need

2021 Expanding Support

► Launched our Debt and Welfare Surgery, led by a specialist advisor

► Provided 1:1 support for women and families facing debt, housing instability and financial crisis

► Recruited trustees with expertise in marketing, PR and finance to strengthen governance

2022 Building Momentum

► Raised over £50,000 in funding to expand delivery

► Strengthened our programmes in response to growing demand

2023 Growing Our Impact

► Launched Mother and Daughter Groups supporting two generations of women

► Delivered sessions on financial literacy, mental health, relationships and wellbeing

► Continued delivering fitness programmes alongside holistic support

2024 Strengthening Our Foundation

► Launched a Women’s Running Group in Barnet to support physical and mental wellbeing

► Transitioned from a CIC to a registered charity (CIO) to increase reach and sustainability

2025 Scaling Our Reach

► Supported over 2,000 women through our Debt and Welfare services

► Secured over £200,000 in funding from partners including City Bridge and The National Lottery

► Ran our first event: a 5K fun run raising over £400 for local charities

2026 Building for the Future

► Achieved Advice UK membership, strengthening service credibility

► Progressing towards Advice Quality Standard (AQS) accreditation

► Hosted our second event on Sustainability in Barnet, building community awareness and connections
